Carpe Nativitatis! Since the official start of the Christmas season with the feast of the Immaculate Conception on the 8th, the race to capture the Christmas spirit is underway in Rome. The coziness of the atmosphere and activities naturally motivates us to gather together with friends to enjoy it all. With everyone going in their own separate directions to visit family for Christmas, these outings and gatherings are particularly precious, as they are not likely to be repeated. Today the students finished their final exam, Art and Architecture, and tonight we gather together and celebrate as a community for the last time. It seems fitting to send them off back to their homes for this most family-oriented holiday, but it was a gift to be a temporary family together in our adopted home of Rome.
